Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I try StatChamp before purchasing?
A. Yes! You can download and use StatChamp free for up to 30 days. After 30 days you will need to purchase a license in order to continue using the program.
Q. Can I record games from a paper scoresheet or while I'm at a game?
A. Yes. StatChamp's scorebook editor is designed to mimic traditional paper scoresheets. You can copy what you've written on paper scoresheets or you can record events as they happen if you're watching a game in person. We have an in depth video tutorial for the scorebook editor. You can find a link to it on the left side of this page.
Q. Can I enter fees for teams and players in StatChamp?
A. Yes. You can specify fees that teams and players have to pay to be in a league and fees that players have to pay to be on a specific team.
Q. Does StatChamp support multiple seasons?
A. Yes. Nearly everything in StatChamp is season based. This includes division structures, team records, league & team fees, rosters & lineups, all statistics, games, etc.
Q. I don't understand the database files, what are they for?
A. A database file in StatChamp is a single file that stores all of your data such as leagues, teams, players, games, statistics, etc. StatChamp allows you to create as many of these files as you'd like. For example, if you were tasked with administering the players in 2 different youth recreation departments, you may want to store that data in a separate database for each recreation department.
Q. Do you offer volume discounts?
A. Yes. Please click the 'Purchase' link at the top of the page. You can view our volume discount rates on the order page.
Q. Other companies force me to buy more than one application to get all the functionality I need. Will I have to worry about that with StatChamp?
A. No. When you buy StatChamp, you get a complete solution that contains all features.
Q. Are upgrades free?
A. Upgrades between major versions are free. To upgrade from one major version to a subsequent major version you'll need to purchase a license at a discounted rate. For example, if you purchase version 1.x, each upgrade up to, but not including, version 2.x is free.
